Purpose of the Course

This masterclass equips nursing educators with the knowledge, skills, and structured tools to design and implement Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) and Direct Observation of Procedural Skills (DOPS) in alignment with the Indian Nursing Council (2021) BSc Nursing curriculum. It strengthens fairness, transparency, and evidence-based assessment of clinical competence, ensuring every student is evaluated objectively and consistently.

Course Duration & Format

A five-day online microlearning program delivered via the ShikshaX LMS. Participants engage with short video lessons, reading material, activities, reflections, and quizzes at their own pace within a seven-day window.

Course Flow

  1. Register and log in using the credentials provided by ShikshaX.
  2. Complete your profile → take the pre-test.
  3. Progress unit-by-unit through videos, readings, activities, and reflections.
  4. Score ≥ 40 % in each unit quiz to proceed.
  5. Attempt the post-test (≥ 60 %) and submit feedback to generate your digital certificate.

Certification

Upon successful completion, participants receive a digitally verifiable certificate jointly issued by ShikshaX and the certifying university, recognizing proficiency in OSCE and DOPS-based assessment for nursing education.

Likewise, you will complete all the sessions in every module, and appear for the post-test. There will be five attempts to score at least 50% to successfully complete the course. The best of five attempts will be considered as the exit score. In case someone fails to score 50 in the first attempt, it is advised that they revise their learning, and then attempt the subsequent post-test. The questions in pre-test and post-test will be the same, so as to give an authentic measure of learning that has happened as a result of the course.

After the successful completion of post-test, and the end-of-the-course survey, your Certificate will be ready for download in a couple of days.
